Technical Data
1. Product Name:
Keystone Rubber Pavers
2. Manufacturer:
Keystone Rubber Pavers, LLC
3. Product Description
Keystone Rubber Pavers are designed for a wide range of applications that included playground surfacing, walking trails, and recreational areas. The impact attenuation properties of the Keystone Rubber Pavers can reduce the injuries related with fall from playground equipment. Keystone Rubber Pavers are compliant with the Americans with Disability Act (A.D.A) and with the guidelines of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (C.P.S.C). Each rubber paver is molded in the Geometric shape shown below.
4. Materials:
Keystone Rubber Pavers are manufactured with crumb rubber from disposed tires and a weather resistance Polyurethane polymer resin. The Polyurethane polymer resin is pigmented with one of different color options such as: Black, Green, Gray and Red. Keystone Rubber Pavers are latex-free. A wide range of custom colors are also available upon request.
5. Chemical Limitations:
Some chemicals can cause damage to the rubber pavers if they are constantly exposed to: gasoline, diesel fuel, acids, and highly concentrated chlorine bleach.
6. Technical Data:
Applicable Testing Standards – American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM)
Determination of Accessibility of Surface Systems Under and Around Playground Equipment. The average work force per Lbf-in values measured lower when propelling the wheelchair over the Keystone Rubber Pavers, than when propelling the wheelchair over a flat surface with a grade of 7.1%. The material met the requirements of the ASTM F-1951-99.
Optimum Drop Height: 4 ft.
Drop Height (at 23°C) g-Max HIC
3 ft - 128 - 525
4 ft - 156 - 799
5 ft - 189 - 1205
Note: The G-Max and HIC (Head Impact Criteria) for proper Impact Attenuation of Surface Systems Under and Around Playground Equipment should be below 200 for g-Max and below 1000 for HIC.
